Yes, Uluk is essentially a game about making food. And good food makes us happy! You send your tribe members to hunt and gather resources, then process them into delicious meals.
Only a well-fed population brings you Happiness Points, but even a full belly might not be enough to win. Don’t forget about spirituality, and build monuments to the old gods!
As unique and fun as its theme may be, Uluk is a game for gamers who like it heavy. It is built on classic worker placement with a few twists of its own.
Develop inventions to make your food processing more efficient, or invest in monuments instead. The options differ for each tribe, reflecting its own culture and eating habits.
The game lasts six rounds, or seasons, and the player with the most Happiness Points at the end wins. Each season has six phases: place your tribers on the main board, harvest resources, process them into food, feed your tribers, adjust harvest levels in the ecology phase, then build monuments and prepare for the next season.
Invention cards make your food processing more effective, and collecting sets of their symbols brings extra points at the end of the game.

The rich and colorful world of Uluk is captured in immersive artwork by Przemysław Gul. Each tribe has its own aesthetic, and the game board shows a living world inhabited by fantastic creatures.
